In east Texas the loblolly pines grow right up next to the road, 80 or 90 feet tall. The other night outside of Nacogdoches one fell across the road. It was intentional - whoever did it set it on fire as well.

I imagined someone leaving town, not wanting to be followed.

And then I thought of you and I wondered how many trees you've felled by now. Across whose roads?
